Happy Mommies

Caryl Kristensen and Marilyn Kentz, better known as "The Mommies", make their living joking about kids, family life and the stresses of motherhood. The Mommies' NBC sitcom (1993-1995) of the same name, their ABC talk show (1996-1997), their Showtime and Lifetime specials and their highly successful book, The Mother Load, all illustrate their bitingly honest and comedic view on life.

What’s New:

On the Home Front

Marilyn is aging very well. Her new book, Not Your Mother's Midlife: A Ten Step Guide to Fearless Aging (Andrews McMeel) is currently in bookstores and at Amazon.com. She's been busy on her tour which began with an appearance on The Today Show in New York. During the month of May she'll be speaking in New York, Connecticut, Philadelphia, Dallas, and San Francisco. She's been teaching several classes in Fearless Aging - which is very much needed in the Botox capital of the world: Los Angeles. Her kids are also aging. They are 32, 29, 28 and 17. Empty nest is soon approaching, but she's still on Prozac, so it should be okay

Caryl is busy planning her next home remodel and her son's high school graduation, as well as making summer plans. She's also seeking therapy to deal with her oldest son leaving for college in the Fall. Any advice from the fans who have lived through this transition certainly would be appreciated. It's also baseball season and her youngest son (15) plays, so she'll be riding pine all Spring. On the creative front, Caryl is entering the world of documentary film-making and is excited to tell some amazing stories. We'll keep you posted on the website.
