I just finished reading your book in 2 days. It was so funny and so real that I just couldn't put it down. My husband thought I was totally insane because there were so many times I just busted out laughing while reading and he just didn't get what was so funny when I would try to explain it to him. I have two boys, ages 9 years and 9 months. You are both such realistic inspirations to me. Take care!!!!

I can't tell you what a true godsend your book has been. Ifound it at a time when I really needed a good laugh and that's exactly what I got from every page. Three friends, seven kids (girls-4, 5, 6 & 9; boys-4, 5& 8) were at a backyard pool. One friend starts reading The Mother Load to pass the time. She could not stop laughing out loud. In order to be in on the humor we made her read outloud. We had such a good time. Each of us took turns reading aloud while the kids swam. When we would take a break we'd share our own stories. We have never had so much FUN! The "nirvana mommie" was hilarious. We planned to pass the book around, but it's so much more fun to read it aloud with your best friends. Thanks for the humor.

After seeing Caryl and Marilyn on G.M. Texas, I dashed to the bookstore for The Mother Load. Just in the nick of time! Feeling a little blue, I shut myself in the bedroom today and finished it.
